Returning to Sanctuary Worship
We are excited to be having Worship Service in our Sanctuary once again.
We were away from the Sanctuary for over 2 years, and with COVID-19 still prevalent, along with some additional highly contagious viruses, we have changed some things to remain safe.
What has changed?
-
We will only enter the Sanctuary through the front doors. Those who require handicapped access to enter the church can use the Handicapped entrance.
- Starting Sunday May 7, 2023, the wearing of a mask during service will be optional.
- "The World Health Organization has declared that Coronavirus is no longer a health emergency. For the past year it's been in a downward trend and the mask mandate has been lifted for some time now. Because of this, the UBC Leadership has agreed that temperature checks will be discontinued, and masks are no longer mandated (they are optional, and your personal choice)." However, there are currently new strains that are on the rise, and we will govern ourselves accordingly in the future to keep everyone as safe as possible.
- Your temperature will no longer be checked upon entering the front doors
-
We ask if you are not feeling well that you remain at home, and join via Call-In
-
-
We will place our church envelopes in the Offering Box upon entering the Sanctuary
-
Ushers will no longer be passing an offering plate for health safety
-
Pew Seating:
-
We will try to maintain adequate spacing on occupied pews as much as possible
On Holy Communion Sunday Each Month:
-
Upon entering you will receive your pre-packaged Communion
-
Deacons will no longer be passing the Communion plates for health safety
-
-
After Communion you should place your used Communion cup back in your zip lock bag and throw it away after service
-
Small trash cans have been placed in the corners in the back & front to dispose of trash
Exiting the Sanctuary:
-
We will exit the Sanctuary immediately after service using the Front & Handicapped door
-
We will fellowship in the parking lot, and not linger in the Sanctuary for health safety
Meetings after Church:
We are asking that if you must have a quick Pull-Up meeting, that you meet in the Fellowship Hall. You will still exit through the Handicapped Entrance/Exit Door if the front door has been locked.
Thanking you all in advance for your cooperation in helping to keep one another as safe as possible during, and after church service.
